Post Oak Ridge State Park opens for day use in Texas
Post Oak Ridge State Park is opening for expanded day use this week in the Texas Hill Country. Located west of Lampasas in Lampasas and Burnet counties, the more than 3,000-acre property features post oak woodlands, spring-fed creeks, canyons, and cliffs along the Colorado River.
Visitors can access approximately four miles of hiking trails and picnic areas. Because the park is still under development, amenities are currently limited: there is no electricity, no drinking water available, and cell service is limited or nonexistent. Reservations are required for visits. Future development plans include adding more infrastructure and overnight camping options.
