Post Office moves Chiswick and Bletchingley branches to new locations
The UK Post Office announced that its Chiswick branch on Heathfield Terrace will relocate into the floor‑space of a Robert Dyas shop on Chiswick High Road. The new premises will be smaller and will no longer offer services such as parcel drop‑off, passport application checks, document certification, DVLA photocard renewal or Western Union transactions; customers will need to use the Shepherd’s Bush office for those. Opening hours will be extended to Monday‑Saturday 09:00‑18:00.
In the Surrey village of Bletchingley, the Post Office will move from its historic High Street unit, used since the 1950s, to a nearby location at Village Stores, 28 High Street, after the postmaster resigned. The relocation will retain all existing services and include accessibility upgrades such as a bell, signage and a grab rail. Both moves are presented as necessary to secure the long‑term viability of Post Office services for the local communities.
