Postal 2 Redux announced for Spring 2027 release

Impact Reality and Running With Scissors have announced Postal 2 Redux, a rebuilt version of the controversial first-person shooter, scheduled for release in Spring 2027. The project is being developed using the Unity 6 engine and features a complete visual overhaul, upgraded lighting, and improved physics and combat systems.

This release marks the first time the Postal series will be available on a PlayStation console. Confirmed platforms include PS5, PS4, PS VR2, PC, and Quest, with Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch currently listed as pending approval. The game will also feature an upgraded version of the series' canine companion, Champ.

The project has seen significant community support, with its Kickstarter campaign surpassing its $250,000 goal in a single day and raising over $680,000. The remake aims to preserve the original's open-world sandbox nature while providing a more reactive and high-performance experience.
