Postal service branches face closures in Auerbach and Pfaffing

Several postal service locations in the Bavarian region are facing closures. In Auerbach, the stationery shop ‘Papierhexe’ is closing, which temporarily removes the town's only post office branch. However, a new shop called ‘Mustis Shop’ is scheduled to open at the same location shortly after, which will take over the postal services.

In Pfaffing, the post office branch located at ‘Getränke Fürst’ in Forsting is set to close permanently on November 19 following the sale of the building. The owner, Wolfgang Fürst, also confirmed that his beverage market will close on November 30. Local officials and business owners have expressed uncertainty regarding a replacement, with suggestions that the area might eventually rely on a postal automated machine.
