La Poste S. A. has reported a 92% distribution rate for savings bonds issued as part of a compensation operation for savers. Out of 18,972 bonds issued by the Public Treasury, 17,515 have been collected. Approximately 1,457 bonds remain uncollected, and 325 savers have yet to provide their bank details. Beneficiaries are urged to claim their bonds between October 12 and October 30, 2026, at designated locations in Libreville, such as the Charbonnage National Sorting Center, as well as in Lalala, Akébé, and Owendo. Unclaimed bonds will be returned to the Public Treasury after the deadline.
In Tunisia, La Poste tunisienne reported reaching 4.713 million savers by the end of September 2026, accounting for roughly 25% of national savings. During World Post Day celebrations, officials outlined a strategic plan for 2026–2030 focused on financial and social inclusion. The strategy emphasizes digital transformation, the integration of artificial intelligence into financial services, and the implementation of a ‘Green Post’ project to promote sustainable development and reduce energy consumption.
