Postcode Loterij awards cash and BMW prizes to Dutch neighbourhoods

Residents of several Dutch streets received large cash prizes and a BMW after the Postcode Loterij’s street‑price draw. In Zoetermeer’s Pernisstraat and Leiden’s Rozekwartstraat, sixteen people each collected €25,000, with the couple Esdras and Monique also winning a BMW and planning to fulfil a long‑delayed wedding in Africa. Other winners such as Saskia and Gabrielle expressed excitement about using the money for home improvements and family vacations.

In the village of Harkema, eight residents of the De Elzen postcode each received €25,000, and one winner also got a new BMW. Recipients described the award as “the cherry on the cake” and said they would spend the funds on travel, a new car, or home projects. The prize‑giving ceremony was highlighted as a moment of community cohesion, with local presenter Gaston Starreveld handing out the cheques.
