Poste Italiane announces cultural initiatives in Manfredonia and Sicily

Poste Italiane is participating in various cultural initiatives across Italy. In Manfredonia, the postal service will host a temporary philatelic service and a special cancellation mark for the second edition of the Festival del Nerd on September 26 and 27. Collectors can request the special stamp on their correspondence, which features the festival logo. Following the event, the stamp will be available in Bari before being transferred to the Historical Museum of Communication in Rome.

Additionally, as part of the twentieth anniversary of the “Le Vie dei Tesori” festival, Poste Italiane is opening several historic post offices in Sicily to the public. The initiative includes visits to the Liberty-style office in Trapani on September 26, the architecturally significant Catania Centro office on October 10, and the historic Palermo palace in November. These sites offer visitors a look at significant local architecture and historical interiors.
