Poste Italiane begins Agnone office renovations under Polis project
Poste Italiane has commenced renovation work on its Via Verdi post office in Agnone as part of the “Polis” project. This national initiative targets municipalities with fewer than 15,000 inhabitants, aiming to transform post offices into modern, multifunctional hubs that offer both traditional postal and financial services alongside various public administration functions.
Once completed, the renovated facility will allow citizens to request electronic passports, civil status and registry certificates, INPS certificates, and voluntary jurisdiction acts directly at the counter. The upgrades include new furniture and improvements to environmental comfort and accessibility.
To ensure service continuity during the approximately 70-day renovation period, a dedicated service desk has been activated at the Agnone 1 post office in Piazza Unità d’Italia. This location will handle parcel pickups, undelivered mail, and specific banking operations related to Bancoposta and savings books. The Agnone 1 office will operate with extended hours, opening Monday through Friday from 8:20 to 19:05 and Saturday from 8:20 to 12:35.
