Poste Italiane completes Polis project upgrades in Sicily
Poste Italiane has completed its ‘Polis’ project interventions across several locations in Sicily, specifically targeting municipalities with fewer than 15,000 inhabitants. In the province of Agrigento, 35 post offices were modernized, while in the Ragusa province, five offices in AdAcate, Chiaramonte Gulfi, Giarratana, Monterosso Almo, and Santa Croce Camerina were upgraded.
The project focused on improving service accessibility and comfort through facility restyling, including new seating and consultation rooms. These offices now host various public administration services, such as INPS services for pensioners, registry certificates, and passport applications or renewals.
Technological upgrades include the installation of new-generation Postamat ATMs and digital self-service totems. To promote environmental sustainability, several locations, including offices in Santa Croce Camerina and Giarratana, have implemented photovoltaic systems.
