Poste Italiane employee injured in violent assault at Grosseto office
A customer at the central Poste Italiane office in Grosseto violently attacked staff on 30 July. After a dispute over service, the woman grabbed a female employee by the hair, threw her to the floor and the employee struck her head and sustained a left‑hip fracture. Emergency services and the Carabinieri responded; the victim was taken to hospital with a prognosis of at least ten days.
Poste Italiane filed a criminal complaint against the attacker and reiterated previous calls for increased security personnel at its large branches, noting that similar assaults have occurred in recent years. The incident has prompted renewed demands from employees for onsite vigilante guards to protect staff.
