Poste Italiane expands national defibrillator installation project

Poste Italiane is expanding its national cardioprotection initiative, ‘La Sicurezza ci sta a Cuore’, by installing advanced semi-automatic external defibrillators across its Italian locations. Recent installations include two units in Reggio Calabria at the administrative offices in via Miraglia and the regional delivery management site in via Statale 18, as well as a unit in Rimini at the via Coriano office.

The broader national strategy aims to deploy 800 defibrillators across 242 sites throughout Italy. These devices feature remote monitoring to ensure constant functionality and provide vocal instructions to assist rescuers during cardiac emergencies. To support the hardware, the company is implementing a Basic Life Support and Defibrillation (BLSD) training program, involving approximately 9,500 emergency management personnel and 35,000 employees.

All installed devices will be registered with the 118 Emergency Operations Centers, integrating the company’s equipment into the regional and provincial life-saving networks to benefit the wider community.
