Poste Italiane faces complaints over registered mail delivery

Reports indicate ongoing issues with Poste Italiane regarding the delivery of registered mail in Italy. Citizens have reported receiving notices of non-delivery in their mailboxes without a postal worker ever attempting to ring their doorbell. This practice forces residents to travel to distant post offices to collect their mail.

This issue has historical precedent; in 2020, the Antitrust Authority fined Poste Italiane 5 million euros for unfair commercial practices after finding that management was aware of delivery performance deficiencies. While the frequency of these incidents has reportedly decreased, complaints regarding delivery failures and the burden placed on citizens continue to surface.
