Poste Italiane savings products see high adoption in Sicily

Savings products distributed by Poste Italiane and issued by Cassa Depositi e Prestiti, including savings bonds and postal savings books, show significant activity in Sicilian provinces during the first half of 2026.

In the province of Enna, there are over 260,000 active savings instruments, representing a total wealth of approximately 1.1 billion euros. This includes nearly 120,000 savings bonds and over 140,000 savings books. On average, more than 90% of the population holds at least one savings book.

In the province of Agrigento, there are over 540,000 active forms of savings, totaling approximately 2.5 billion euros. This includes nearly 220,000 savings bonds and over 320,000 savings books. Approximately 80% of the population holds at least one savings book.

Across Italy, there are approximately 35 million savings bonds and over 31 million savings books. Sicily remains one of the regions with the highest subscription rates, featuring more than 3.5 million savings books and 2.3 million savings bonds.
