Posthumous Exhibition 'Osoj i Prisoj' Honors Bosnian Artist Erdoan Morankić

The posthumous landscape exhibition "Osoj i Prisoj" opened in Sarajevo’s historic City Hall (Vijećnica). It displays a selection of works by the late Bosnian‑Herzegovinian painter Erdoan Morankić, who died in a tram accident in February. The exhibition is scheduled to remain open to the public until 31 July 2026.

Morankić’s father, Arman Morankić, expressed that each painting keeps his son’s memory alive, while Sarajevo mayor Samir Avdić highlighted the show as a civilizational act that will promote the artist beyond Bosnia and Herzegovina. Erdoan’s brother, Ardijan Morankić, also discussed the artist’s contribution to 20th‑century landscape painting in the former Yugoslav region, noting influences from regional masters and the unique visual language of his oeuvre.
