Posušje blood drive gathers 48 donations

On Tuesday, 7 July 2026, a voluntary blood‑donation event was held in the cinema hall of Posušje, collecting 48 units of blood from 48 donors. The drive was organised by the Red Cross of Posušje in partnership with the Transfusion Centre of the University Clinical Hospital in Mostar and marked the eighth such event in Posušje for 2026 and the 28th in the West Herzegovina Canton this year.

During the event, Red Cross Posušje president Branko Leko donated blood for the 65th time, setting a local record, and presented a “Silver Plaque” from the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina Red Cross to Natalija Zlopaši, the regional record‑holder among women with 37 donations. A follow‑up drive is scheduled for 14 July 2026 at the Tihaljina primary school.
