Pot Srečno attracts 400 hikers to Slovenian mining heritage route

More than 400 hikers participated in the fifth annual Pot Srečno hike, a route designed to preserve the mining heritage of the region connecting Laško, Hrastnik, Trbovlje, and Zagorje ob Savi.

As part of the event, some participants traveled through an old mining tunnel between Hrastnik and Trbovlje. Due to safety requirements, participation in the underground section was limited to 100 people, all of whom were required to wear helmets and carry lights. The initiative, founded by Drago Podreberšek, aims to keep the connection between these municipalities alive through their shared history of coal mining.
