Pošta Srbije opens robotic logistics center in Subotica

Pošta Srbije has launched a new postal-logistics center in Subotica, marking the company's sixth automated sorting system. The facility features 20 robots capable of processing 1,200 shipments per hour, serving six municipalities with a combined population of over 200,000.

Acting Director Zoran Anđelković stated that the modernization is a response to the growing e-commerce market, noting that the robotic system significantly accelerates package delivery and eases the workload for employees. He addressed concerns regarding job security, explaining that the technology is intended to assist staff rather than replace them.

In addition to the new center, the company is expanding its automated network, which already includes 1,000 parcel lockers across Serbia. Future projects include the introduction of mobile devices for postal workers to improve efficiency and the continued rollout of payment systems for parcel lockers.
