Potentia archaeological site to host guided tours of Roman ruins

The archaeological site of the ancient Roman city of Potentia will open to the public for a guided tour led by archaeologists. The event is scheduled for Thursday at 18:00 and aims to showcase the results of recent research and excavations.

This initiative is part of the ‘Potentia: accessibility, inclusion and cultural regeneration’ project, promoted by the Soprintendenza and included within the Piano Olivetti for culture. The tour will allow visitors to access the archaeological site and learn about investigations conducted in recent months as part of the design for a new northern access point. This strategic intervention is intended to improve accessibility and site utilization.

Archaeologists from the Soprintendenza and ArcheoLab will guide the visitors, explaining excavation methodologies and the scientific value of new discoveries. The project, supported by the Municipality of Porto Recanati, represents the first step in a broader program to enhance the site and make Potentia a more participatory cultural location.
