Potenza authorities seize 20,000 euros in PNRR fraud investigation

The Guardia di Finanza in Potenza has executed a court order to seize approximately 20,000 euros from an entrepreneur suspected of misappropriating National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) funds.

Investigations coordinated by the Public Prosecutor's Office of Potenza revealed that the entrepreneur allegedly obtained European Union Next Generation EU funding—intended to develop e-commerce platforms for small and medium-sized enterprises abroad—by submitting falsified or inaccurate documentation. Financial inquiries further indicated that the funds, which included both grants and specific allocations for IT platforms, were used for purposes other than those originally intended. The seizure, ordered by the Court of Potenza, aims for the direct and equivalent confiscation of assets equal to the alleged criminal profit.
