Potenza City Councilor Giampiero Iudicello dies suddenly

Giampiero Iudicello, a 54-year-old lawyer and city councilor in Potenza, Italy, has died following a sudden illness. The incident occurred while Iudicello was presiding over a meeting of the Third Urban Planning Commission at the municipal building.

Colleagues attempted immediate first aid before transporting him to the San Carlo hospital emergency room, but he passed away. Local officials, including Basilicata Region President Vito Bardi, have expressed deep condolences, describing Iudicello as a dedicated figure in the local community and legal profession.

Iudicello held various political roles, including serving as the city secretary for the Democratic Party and later as the group leader for Basilicata Casa Comune. His funeral is scheduled to take place at the Santa Cecilia parish.
