Potenza’s Notte Bianca Book Festival Begins 12th Edition

A press conference on July 20 announced the 12th edition of the Notte Bianca del Libro e delle Idee, a city‑wide cultural festival in Potenza, Basilicata. The opening event will take place on July 21 at 10:30 a.m. in the Casa della Cultura's Tonino Larocca Hall. Organized by the Letti di Sera association, the festival transforms historic squares, streets and venues across Potenza and the surrounding province into stages for readings, author talks, music and film screenings.

The programme emphasizes contemporary themes such as hope, respect, community building and critical thinking, aiming to stimulate public debate and encourage citizens to engage with literature under the night sky. By extending activities beyond the municipal centre, the event seeks to highlight local talent, foster dialogue and strengthen cultural participation throughout the region.
