Potoroo Palace wildlife sanctuary offered for free to new custodian
The Potoroo Palace wildlife sanctuary, located north of Merimbula on the Far South Coast, is seeking a new caretaker through an expression of interest process open until November 30. There is no purchase price for the facility, but the transfer includes a non-negotiable legal requirement for the incoming operator to provide lifelong, on-site care for more than 110 resident native animals, with a mandate of ‘no unnecessary relocations’.
The offer includes 21.85 hectares of freehold land, turnkey infrastructure, an on-site cafe, a gift shop, operating licenses, and a trained team of staff and volunteers. The sanctuary was previously managed by Alexandra Seddon, who took over the site in 2006 to ensure the survival of its resident animals.
