Potosí fuel supplies and road access normalize after blockades

Fuel supplies and road access have begun to normalize in the Potosí department of Bolivia following the lifting of recent blockades. The Potosí Departmental Police reported that operations were conducted to facilitate the distribution of fuel in areas that had previously experienced shortages, specifically in Descanso, Congaita, and Uyuni.

To ensure supply, police coordinated with Yacimientos Petrolíferos Fiscales Bolivianos (YPFB) to provide escorts for fuel tankers. While long queues remain at service stations due to previous scarcity, authorities state that distribution is gradually regularizing and no conflict points currently exist.

Additionally, the Sucre-Potosí highway has been cleared of blockades near Betanzos. Transit authorities have authorized bus travel to resume, though transport companies report lower passenger numbers at terminals due to uncertainty caused by the recent disruptions. Routes from La Paz to Sucre are currently reported as clear.
