Potosí prosecutors investigate alleged corruption of minors in pageant

The Public Prosecutor's Office in Potosí has admitted a complaint regarding the alleged corruption of minors during the election of the Ñusta de Ch’utillos 2026. The investigation follows reports from the Potosí Children and Adolescent Defense Office concerning the conduct of the Asociación de Fraternidades Folclóricas Autóctonas de Potosí (AFFAP).

Authorities report that underage participants were allegedly exposed in a manner that violated their rights, specifically citing the use of certain garments and the requirement for participants of different ages and sizes to wear the same size of swimwear. The investigation aims to identify those responsible for the organization, including members of the Safeguard Committee and AFFAP leadership.

Additionally, the Defense Office is investigating allegations of document manipulation, as parents reported signatures on documents dated prior to their actual creation. Protection measures may be requested to ensure the integrity of the legal process.
