Poultry and egg prices fluctuate in Egyptian markets

Poultry and egg prices in Egypt are experiencing fluctuations driven by supply, demand, and the upcoming school season. White poultry farm prices have seen shifts, with consumer prices for white chicken reaching approximately 71 to 72 EGP per kilogram.

Egg prices are seeing a gradual increase. The Vice President of the Poultry Producers Federation, Tharwat El-Ziny, noted that table egg prices may rise slightly due to increased demand as the new school year approaches. He indicated that a price adjustment of 10 to 15 EGP might be necessary to balance market prices with production costs.

Other market rates include Baladi chicken at approximately 140 EGP per kilogram, pane (chicken breast) ranging between 160 and 190 EGP, and duck varieties priced around 125 EGP. Chick prices also vary significantly by type, with white chicks ranging from 5 to 18 EGP depending on the source and breed.
