Pouytenga maps development actors to improve coordination
The municipal council of Pouytenga in Burkina Faso approved a provisional map of development actors and interventions. The mapping, prepared with technical support from the regional Directorate of Economy and Planning (DREP‑Nakambé), identifies NGOs, associations, state services and projects operating in the commune, the sectors they cover and the villages reached. The initiative, financed by the Belgian Development Cooperation Agency (Enabel), aims to strengthen territorial governance by providing a clear overview of who is active where, ensuring better allocation of resources and compliance with regulatory requirements. Council president Benoît Timtoré highlighted that the tool will help verify that each organization focuses on a limited number of sectors and that underserved villages are identified for future action.
