Poverello House provides housing and essential services in Fresno

Poverello House is highlighting its various support services in Fresno, California, aimed at assisting individuals and families experiencing homelessness and extreme poverty.

Through its Naomi’s House transitional shelter, the organization provides a pathway to permanent housing. For example, two sisters who experienced a decade of housing instability were recently able to secure their own home after receiving support from the program.

Additionally, the Poverello House Holy Cross Center operates a clothing closet that provides free clothing and hygiene essentials. The center offers distribution days for individuals and families, with CEO Zach Darrah noting that the service is designed to meet both practical needs and personal dignity. These efforts are part of a broader weeklong initiative preceding the Call for Hope telethon.
