Povia performs in Palizzi, joins mayor in duet on stage

Italian singer‑songwriter Povia held a concert in the southern town of Palizzi, filling the Piazza dei Martiri with a large, enthusiastic crowd. The performance featured songs from his two‑decade career and addressed topics such as bullying, end‑of‑life choices and altruism. During the show, Palizzi’s mayor, Umberto Felice Nocerasale, took the stage and sang together with Povia, creating a spontaneous duet that highlighted the close connection between the artist and the local community.

The event was described as a blend of music and direct interaction, with audience members of all ages joining in choruses and reacting emotionally to familiar hits, including the 2006 Sanremo‑winning “Vorrei avere il becco.”
