Powderfinger announces Australian reunion tour for 2027

Australian rock band Powderfinger is preparing for a reunion tour, marking their first performances in 17 years since their 2010 farewell. Tickets for the tour are scheduled to go on sale this Wednesday, with a general release following on Monday.

The tour is set to begin in September 2027, starting in the band’s hometown of Brisbane before traveling to Cairns, Perth, Sydney, Adelaide, and Melbourne. While shows are planned for stadium-sized big tops and outdoor venues, fans have expressed anxiety online regarding limited capacity and the difficulty of securing tickets.

Longtime supporters have described the ticketing process for major shows as a “nightmare,” with some fans utilizing multiple devices to navigate pre-sales. The reunion holds significant nostalgic value for many Australian listeners who followed the band since their 1990s debut.
