Power maintenance to cause outages in Kashmir and Bengaluru
Scheduled power outages will affect multiple regions in India due to maintenance on transmission lines and infrastructure.
In Kashmir, the Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) announced several shutdowns throughout August to facilitate maintenance on various 33 kV and 11 kV lines. Affected areas include Handwara Town, Bemina, Qamarwari, and several locations in central Kashmir such as Shariefabad and Wadwan. Most disruptions are scheduled between 8 am and 2 pm on various dates throughout the month.
In Bengaluru, power supply will be disrupted from 10 am to 6 pm on Sunday to perform maintenance on transformer bays, bus bars, and breakers. The outage will affect numerous areas fed by the 66/11kV C station, including Broadway Road, Cunningham Road, Infantry Road, and areas surrounding Vidhana Soudha and Palace Grounds.
