Power of Pink campaign supports breast cancer survivors in South Africa

The annual Power of Pink campaign has launched a partnership between the South African Mushroom Farmers’ Association (SAMFA), Pick n Pay, and the breast cancer support organization Reach for Recovery (RFR). The initiative aims to provide practical assistance to women who have undergone mastectomies.

Throughout the month of October, customers at Pick n Pay stores nationwide can support the cause by purchasing fresh mushrooms packaged in distinctive pink punnets. For every pink punnet sold, R1 will be donated to Reach for Recovery's Ditto Project. This project provides high-quality external silicone breast prostheses to women who cannot afford reconstructive surgery or prostheses through private healthcare or medical aid.
