Power outages reported across multiple regions in Denmark
Multiple regions in Denmark have experienced power outages on Monday, August 31. In Aarhus, residents and businesses near Nørreport were notified of a planned outage from 09:00 to approximately 13:00 due to cable and wire work by Konstant Net A/S. However, reports indicated broader, unplanned disruptions earlier in the day affecting areas such as Aarhus V, Aarhus C, Ceresbyen, Aarhus Ø, Trøjborg, and Riisvangen. These outages caused traffic disruptions by disabling traffic lights on Vestre Ringgade.
In South Zealand, the town of Rønnede experienced a sudden and extensive blackout in the afternoon. The outage led to the closure of local businesses, including supermarkets, pharmacies, and gas stations, and rendered traffic lights inoperable. The utility company Cerius reported that power issues also extended to Kalundborg and Nykøbing Falster. Cerius stated they are working to restore electricity as quickly as possible.
