Power Rangers concept art reveals details from scrapped Netflix reboot
Newly surfaced concept art has provided a first look at a scrapped Power Rangers reboot originally intended for Netflix. The artwork, shared by artist Samuel Garcia, depicts modernized versions of the classic suits.
One notable creative direction in the cancelled project was the decision to feature a young Asian woman as the Red Ranger. The designs also included the Green and Blue Rangers, showing distinct physical differences between the characters.
In 2020, Hasbro appointed showrunners Jonathan Entwistle and Jenny Klein to lead the Netflix project. However, the production was eventually scrapped. Hasbro subsequently attempted to develop the franchise with Disney+ under creatives Jonathan E. Steinberg and Dan Shotz, which also failed to materialize. Recent rumors suggest Prime Video may be interested in acquiring the rights to the series.
