Power Trip releases first new music since death of frontman Riley Gale

Power Trip thrash metal Seth Gilmore Riley Gale new music release

Texas thrash metal band Power Trip has released its first new music since the death of frontman Riley Gale in 2020. The band unveiled a double single featuring the tracks ‘Precinct 3’ and ‘Scavenger’ on October 9, 2026.

Now featuring vocalist Seth Gilmore, the band recorded the tracks at Empire Sound in Carrollton, Texas, with production by Jacob Hansen and guitarist Blake Ibanez. The new material aims to honor Gale’s legacy while establishing a new chapter for the group. ‘Precinct 3’ addresses themes of authority, while ‘Scavenger’ critiques opportunism.

This release precedes plans for a full-length album expected in spring 2027. The band is scheduled to perform at upcoming events, including the Sick New World festival in Fort Worth, Texas, and supporting Slayer in Mexico City.
