Powerball jackpot rises to $409 million

The Powerball jackpot has risen to an estimated $409 million following a drawing where no player matched all six numbers. The previous estimated jackpot stood at $389 million.

Other tickets matching five numbers sold in Illinois, New York, and North Carolina are worth $1 million each, according to the Multi-State Lottery Association. The numbers drawn for the latest session were 17, 21, 29, 42, 49, with the Powerball number being 7.
