Powerus expands drone interceptor production to the UAE

Powerus, a defense start-up based in West Palm Beach, Florida, has opened its first Middle Eastern manufacturing facility in the United Arab Emirates. The factory utilizes 3-D printed components to produce low-cost drone interceptors designed to neutralize Iranian drones traveling at speeds up to 200 miles per hour.

The company currently produces approximately 3,000 interceptors per month through its affiliated factories. Powerus aims to expand this capacity to 15,000 units per month globally by mid-2027. To achieve rapid scaling and meet urgent demand from allied nations, the company is partnering with local manufacturers in high-need regions rather than exporting finished goods from the United States.

The production surge follows increased regional instability. Since February, the United Arab Emirates has faced significant attacks, including over 2,200 Iranian drones and 500 ballistic missiles, which have impacted civilian infrastructure, including an oil refinery and data centers.
