Powiat Zamojski allocates nearly 1 million PLN to remove disability barriers

On 21 July, Powiat Zamojski (Zamość County) signed agreements with five gminas and the charity Stowarzyszenie Pomocy Dzieciom Niepełnosprawnym "Krok za Krokiem" to receive 967 000 PLN from the State Fund for Rehabilitation of Disabled (PFRON) under the "Program of Reducing Regional Disparities III".

The funded projects include: a 380 000 PLN transport‑barrier removal in the occupational therapy workshop in Lipiny Starej (Gmina Skierbieszów); a 206 500 PLN modernization of the self‑help house "Krok Dalej" in Białobrzegi; a 190 500 PLN platform installation for disabled users in the library building in Miączyn; a 169 500 PLN renovation of the therapy workshop in Wolica Brzozowa (Gmina Komarów‑Osada); and a 20 700 PLN adaptation of a bathroom in the civil‑registry office in Szczebrzeszyn. The agreements were signed by Starosta Stanisław Grześko, Wicestarosta Krzysztof Rusztyn and Treasurer Marek Seroka. The funding is intended to improve accessibility and support independent living for persons with disabilities across the county.
