Powys County Council proposes modular homeless housing in Llandrindod Wells

Powys County Council is conducting public consultations regarding plans to construct seven single-storey, self-contained modular units for homeless accommodation in Llandrindod Wells. The proposed site is a brownfield location currently used for parking at County Hall, off Spa Road East.

The proposal has generated local concern, particularly regarding its proximity to Ysgol Cefnllys primary school. While some residents expressed fears that the units would be built immediately adjacent to the school fence, site plans indicate the location is opposite the Welsh Government buildings. Local officials and the Llandrindod Wells Town Council have noted a lack of detailed public information regarding the project.
