Powys hosts various festivals and events throughout September

Powys and Mid Wales will host a variety of festivals and community events throughout September.

Key scheduled activities include the Welshpool & Llanfair Light Railway Steam & Diesel Gala from September 4 to 6, featuring vintage vehicles and model railways. The Llanfair Caereinion Show is set for September 5, while the Newtown Food Festival will take place on September 5 and 6 at the Town Hall Grounds.

Other notable events include free admission to Powis Castle and Garden on September 12 and 13, and the Elan Fest at the Elan Valley Visitor Centre on the same dates. Additionally, the Llanfyllin Workhouse will host a Heritage Weekend and Food Fair, and the Talyllyn Railway will hold a Heritage Weekend in Tywyn and the Fathew Valley on September 12 and 13.
