Pozalmuro hosts traditional Rituerto basin community gathering

The town of Pozalmuro hosted the traditional InterCEAS meeting, a community gathering that has connected residents of the Rituerto basin for over 25 years. Organized by the Provincial Council of Soria through its Social Services Department, the event brought together neighbors from six municipalities: Pozalmuro, Villar del Campo, Hinojosa del Campo, Pinilla del Campo, Tajahuerce, and Valdegeña.

The day included a mass at the Santa María la Mayor parish church, featuring an offering of traditional agricultural products, followed by a communal meal and live music. The initiative, coordinated by social workers and community animators from the Moncayo, Gómara, and Soria Rural Social Action Centers (CEAS), aims to strengthen rural ties, promote active aging, and prevent social isolation.

Laura Prieto, the provincial deputy for Social Services, expressed gratitude to the participating mayors and local officials, specifically highlighting the efforts of Pozalmuro Mayor José Esteban Pinilla Lucas in ensuring the success of the event.
