Poznań adds new left‑turn lane at Jeleniogórska intersection

The city of Poznań has opened a second lane for left‑turn traffic from Jeleniogórska Street onto Grunwaldzka Street. The change follows the removal of a tram‑traction pole that had blocked a dual‑lane configuration for years.

During recent tram‑service interruptions on the Jan Nowak‑Jeziorański roundabout, the pole was dismantled and the overhead network was rebuilt. The Zarząd Dróg Miejskich, Zarząd Transportu Miejskiego and MPK coordinated the project, installing new road markings, signs and updating the traffic‑signal program. The new arrangement is already in force and is expected to reduce waiting times for drivers, especially during peak periods.
