Poland sees surge in AI infrastructure and urban development

Poland is experiencing a significant wave of infrastructure and urban development projects across various sectors. In the technology sector, AI-driven demand is projected to drive data center investments in Poland to over $200 billion by 2050, according to PwC. A major €3 billion data center project is planned for Konin, with construction expected to begin in 2027. Additionally, Salesforce has appointed Tomasz Olejnik as its new regional director for Poland and Central and Eastern Europe.

Local municipalities are also heavily investing in urban revitalization and environmental adaptation. Projects include the creation of green spaces in Warsaw, the development of an Urban Lab and Culture District in Zielona Góra, and various green-blue infrastructure improvements in Zakopane, Dębica, and Wołomin. Public works also extend to social services, such as the modernization of a hospice in Gliwice and the renovation of the meteorological observatory on Śnieżka, a project valued at over 24 million PLN.

Infrastructure updates also impact transportation and public utilities, including road modernizations in Szczepańcowa, planned highway upgrades near Gniezno, and public transit adjustments in Łódź and Warsaw due to events or maintenance.
