Poznań begins consultations for Wolne Tory urban development

Public consultations have begun regarding the local spatial development plan for the ‘Wolne Tory’ area in Poznań. From September 11 to October 2, residents can submit proposals for the project, which covers approximately 146 hectares in the central part of the city between the Św. Łazarz and Wilda districts.

The area is characterized by railway lands and the former ZNTK Poznań repair shops. Much of the site is currently undeveloped, covered in vegetation, and subject to conservation protection due to historical monuments. The primary goal of the plan is to transform the area into a new, multifunctional urban district that improves functional and spatial connections between Wilda and Św. Łazarz.

The document will establish rules for the development of the Poznań Główny station area and its integration with the surrounding urban structure. Key priorities include defining new building regulations, road layouts, and communication links, with a specific emphasis on public transport, cycling, and pedestrian movement.
