Poland hosts nationwide Senior Culture Weekend

The ‘Weekend of the Senior with Culture’ is a nationwide initiative in Poland organized by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. The program offers various cultural activities specifically tailored for older citizens to encourage social engagement and lifelong learning.

Participating institutions are providing diverse opportunities, including discounted or free theater performances, museum visits, and art workshops. For example, the Museum of Gdańsk is offering entry to various branches for 1 PLN for those aged 60 and over. In Tarnów, the Wojciech Bogusławski Theater is hosting free guided tours and discounted tickets for family plays. Other cities are participating through library meetings, ceramics workshops, and specialized cultural programs designed to bridge generational gaps and promote digital literacy among seniors.
