Poznań hosts architectural competitions and developer awards
Several architectural competitions and awards are currently active in Poznań, Poland.
The 46th edition of the Janina and Władysław Czarnecki competition has announced its 10 finalists from a pool of 53 submissions. The jury, composed of representatives from SARP Poznań and WPOIA RP, selected works based on architectural value and presentation quality. Finalists are required to submit their projects on a single vertical board by October 5, 2026, for an exhibition at the SARP architecture club.
Separately, the Poznań Mayor's Award, ‘Architectus civitatis nostrae – Budowniczy naszego miasta’, is accepting nominations for its sixth edition. This biennial award recognizes investors for projects completed in 2024 and 2025. Nominations are open until October 6 and can be submitted by entrepreneurs, institutions, social organizations, or residents. The award features three categories: residential-service complexes, service facilities, and investment activities in degraded areas. Evaluation criteria include architectural quality, accessibility, ecological solutions, and social integration.
