Poznań hosts regional ‘Lodołamacze’ awards for disability inclusion

The 21st edition of the ‘Lodołamacze’ (Icebreakers) awards held its regional gala at the Centrum Kultury Zamek in Poznań. The competition recognizes employers, organizations, and individuals who promote professional integration and create accessible working conditions for people with disabilities.

Awards were presented across several categories, including socially sensitive employers (ranging from micro to large enterprises), social and vocational rehabilitation, and supporters of people with disabilities. The regional stage serves as a precursor to the central competition, where finalists compete for the 2026 titles. Dorota Potejko, the plenipotentiary of the Mayor of Poznań for persons with disabilities, emphasized that accessibility and the removal of barriers are essential standards for modern, inclusive cities.
