Poznań implements community initiatives for youth, seniors, and accessibility
Poznań is hosting several community-focused initiatives aimed at youth, seniors, and accessibility. The Młodo_sfera festival, organized by Centrum PISOP and Adam Mickiewicz University, will feature over 40 events at the UAM Morasko campus. The festival focuses on leadership, artificial intelligence, and social dialogue.
To support older residents, the second round of the ‘Microgrants for Seniors’ competition offers up to 2,500 PLN per project. These funds aim to support intergenerational activities or senior activation, with a total budget of 95,000 PLN available for at least 38 initiatives.
Cultural institutions in Poznań, including Brama Poznania and the Enigma Cipher Center, are implementing ‘quiet hours’ to assist neuroatypical individuals and those sensitive to sensory overload. These sessions involve dimmed lighting, silenced screens, and the availability of noise-canceling headphones to create a more inclusive environment.
