Poznań property owners must decide on waste collection methods

In Poznań, owners of non-residential properties—including shops, service premises, offices, and educational institutions—must decide whether to remain in the municipal waste collection system or organize their own services. This decision is required ahead of a new tender for waste collection, transport, and management scheduled for July 1, 2027.

Property owners have until September 4, 2026, to submit their declarations to the Municipal Economy Department. Owners can choose to stay in the city system, opt out, or rejoin later, though the ability to change decisions will be strictly limited after the deadline. Declarations can be submitted in person, online, or by mail.
