Poznań reduces executive bonuses in municipal companies

The Mayor of Poznań has implemented measures to reduce bonuses for management in municipal companies following an audit by the City Council's Audit Committee. The investigation highlighted significant discrepancies, noting that executive salaries in Poznań were 50% to 100% higher than in other cities, leading to allegations of mismanagement.

Under the new regulations, maximum bonuses for board members will be reduced from 50% of their base salary to 25%. These changes will affect several entities, including Aquanet, Międzynarodowe Targi Poznańskie (MTP), and MPK. The adjustments are expected to lower total compensation for board members by approximately 16%. The new rules will be applied to performance evaluations for 2026, with some changes taking effect by the end of this year.
