Poznań University of Life Sciences to host lecture on AI in forest management

Poznań University of Life Sciences is hosting a lecture titled ‘Human and artificial intelligence as architects of the forests of the future’ on January 15, 2027. The session, led by Dr. Paweł Strzeliński, will explore how to combine human expertise with AI to design forests that adapt to climate change while maintaining biodiversity and social functions.

The lecture will focus on using AI to integrate vast digital forest data collected since 1992, including satellite imagery, aerial photos, drone data, and ground measurements. Key topics include using AI for threat recognition, forest reconstruction planning, and forecasting environmental changes.
